Shira Kaplan (42) is a cyber-security entrepreneur and investor.
Her technological training dates back to her military service in the 8200 Elite Technology Unit of the Israeli Intelligence (2002-2004). She is the founder and owner of Cyverse AG, a Swiss company that distributes next-gen, best-in-breed cyber-defense solutions to multinational enterprises.
Shira is an active venture capital investor in the Israeli cyber-security and AI space: she has invested to-date into 36 early-stage Israeli cyber-security, AI and quantum software startups, and successfully exited 11 of them.
She holds a B.A. in Government from Harvard University (2004-2008), and an MBA in Finance and Banking from St Gallen University in Switzerland (2012-2014). She is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader (2017), and has been recognized by the Swiss Bilanz “100 Top Digital Shapers” Hall of Fame (2020, 2021, 2022). She is a mother of 3 children, and resides by the Lake of Zurich in Switzerland.
